- Completing Agency Application
The process begins with completion of a detailed Client Application which provides us with the details of your family and your unique requirements. This helps us a great deal in locating Dallas nannies that are best suited for your needs.
- Agency/Client Interview
After receiving your online application, we will call to confirm receipt of your information, clarify your job description, and answer any additional questions you or we may have.
Following the meeting, the Membership Fee is due (please note that $25 of every membership fee goes to Dallas charities. The fee entitles you to participate in all of our other programs, including our sitter services, temporary personal assistants, and newborn care specialists.
- Client Contract
The final step to beginning the search is a signed copy of the Client Agreement provided by your Placement Manager. This contract outlines all fees, our referral policy, and our extensive background check process. We would be happy to go over any questions regarding the agreement.
-
Reviewing Possible Nannies
After we receive your agreement, you have paid the membership fee, and we have clarified exactly what you are looking for, we will begin sending you nannies that match your criteria. Each personal profile will give you useful information on the nanny's employment history, experience, education, and much more. We will be sending you a select number of nannies, as we have significantly narrowed down the caregivers through our rigorous screening process. This ensures that you will only see qualified, high caliber nannies, saving you as much time as possible in your search.
-
Arranging Interviews
Once you identify which nannies you are interested in interviewing, we will contact the nanny on your behalf to set up an interview. Please call us following each interview to give us your feedback on each nanny, so that if necessary, we may tailor our search to further meet your needs.
-
Final Selection / Making a Job Offer
After the first round of interviewing, you may want to bring one or two of the candidates back for "trial days", to observe them in action as part of a working interview. The nanny(ies) will be paid according to the rates outlined on the pricing page. We have found that this working interview is an excellent opportunity for both candidates and clients to determine if they are a match for each other. After a choice has been made, please notify Mom's Best Friend that you would like to extend an offer to a particular nanny. You may choose to talk to that person directly about the particulars of your position, or we can serve as an intermediary to negotiate an agreement between you and the nanny of your choice. Please remember to always speak in terms of "gross pay" not "take home" or "net pay" when negotiating salary.
-
Employment Agreement / Taxes
Once you have proposed an offer and your caregiver has accepted, you will fill in your Employment Agreement provided by Mom's Best Friend. This is a detailed document which allows both you and your nanny to be very clear and specific about the duties, compensation, and terms of employment. After completing and signing by both parties, please submit a copy to Mom's Best Friend. You should also contact the Payroll Processing Manager at Breedlove and Associates at 1-888-BREEDLOVE for information about your tax obligations as a household employer and/or to set up your candidate's payroll.
-
Referral Fee
The Referral Fee is due after an offer has been extended and accepted. This fee covers our extensive screening, including a thorough application, in-person interviews, reference checks, and an extensive background check (both initial and ongoing for the life of the placement). The fee is payable by check or any major credit card, for the referral of your nanny. We must have a copy of the Employment Agreement signed by both parties (you and your caregiver) before your nanny's start date. We also provide you with a great deal of ongoing support.
-
