When you are traveling, we understand that it can make you nervous to leave your children with someone you don't know. We have relationships with all of the major Vail resorts, Beaver Creek resorts, and the surrounding areas because we ensure that their guests are fully safe and secure. All of our caregivers have had CPR training, references have been checked, and a background check has been performed (along with ongoing monthly checks to assure that nothing new has occurred). Sitters
Our Vail babysitters, Beaver Creek babysitters and surrounding area sitters are experienced, engaging, professional caregivers who provide in-home care for children on an irregular, as-needed full or part-time basis, including sick and emergency care. These high caliber babysitters in Vail and surrounding areas are available to ensure the highest level of care for your children. Although their duties are restricted solely to childcare and related tasks, our sitters provide a creative, fun experience for your children. Ski Nanny
A ski nanny can accompany your child to and from ski school, help them rent their gear, and set a fun schedule for the day while you ski the slopes! An experienced ski nanny can also go with your child on the slopes (ski nannies are not instructors and they do not teach lessons) while you take lessons, sip cocoa in the cabin, or go to the spa. This way you know your child is having a safe, fun time with a mature, fun caregiver.

Traveling Sitters
Often families request nannies that will accompany them on their travels so that they have an extra set of hands, and can afford themselves some down time without the children. Many of our nannies are available for assignments such as these. Please speak to your Placement Counselor for recommendations regarding travel expenses, accommodations, meals and recreation.

Nannies
A Mom’s Best Friend Vail nanny is more than a babysitter or child supervisor—she is a rigorously screened, highly experienced professional caregiver, trained in the most progressive aspects of child care. Our nannies know how to design and implement daily curriculum for your child, monitor your child’s development and plan entertaining games, arts and crafts projects, and activities which stimulate your child’s learning, imagination, and development. The focus of the nanny is on the children, including preparing their meals and laundry as well as performing other duties relating specifically to their care. A Mom’s Best Friend nanny is an experienced, loving caregiver that can be hired part-time or full-time by a private family to care for the family's children, typically on a live-out basis (if you are interested in live-in, please inquire about current availability of caregivers). A professional nanny’s background is a combination of education, nanny and/or teaching experience, and continuing education hours. MBF Vail Nannies typically make $12-$18/hour + benefits. Nanny Managers
MBF Vail Nanny Managers are warm, enthusiastic, high-caliber nanny professionals responsible for a wide range of household management duties above and beyond a nanny’s basic child care responsibilities. If a caregiver has made it into the elite pool of MBF Nannies, Vail is a wonderful place to facilitate learning with a wide range of educational and cultural places. An MBF Nanny Manager, along with Nanny responsibilities (see above), can transport your children to these great places, pick up your children from school, organize after-school activities, tutor, run errands, grocery shop, provide mature supervision and security while traveling, and pull together a basic evening meal following the family’s favorite recipes. Nanny Managers are hired by a private family, typically on a live-out basis (if you are interested in live-in, please inquire about current availability of caregivers). Training and experience are required, and the caregivers often have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree. The typical compensation for an MBF Vail Nanny Managers is $14-$20+/hour + benefits.

Child Educators
MBF Child Educators are partners in your child’s academic success in addition to all of the wonderful duties a Nanny Manager does. These dedicated instructors prefer the learning experience that a private, in-home education offers over teaching a large class of students. Child Educators are mature and nurturing, and they provide hands-on instruction for their charges through curriculum, special projects and practical learning experiences. They are able to facilitate field trips where the children will have one-on-one exposure to museums, art exhibits, science and math related excursions, and a variety of other applied learning experiences. Child Educators have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree, teaching credential (and/or early childhood education specialty or related experience), and instructional experience. The typical compensation is $16-25+/hour + benefits.

Newborn Care Specialists
Most new moms are overwhelmed with the amount of knowledge they need to care for their newborn. The list includes everything from breast feeding and formula to caring for a baby with colic who just can’t get to sleep. A Newborn Care Specialist is an expert on caring for newborns and can educate new parents on these special concerns. The Newborn Care Specialist is hired on a temporary basis to nurture and manage the care of the newborn and establish a set routine that fits the family’s schedule. They are trained professionals with many years of experience caring for newborns, preemies, and babies with special needs. They typically work 24 hours a day, 6 or 7 days a week, for 2 to 12 weeks at a time. They are not responsible for household duties because their primary responsibility is caring for the newborn and providing expertise in all aspects of newborn care.
