How are your caregivers screened, trained and monitored?

Mom's Best Friend has been in the business of placing household staff for over 16 years, so our screening process has been refined to a highly effective process. First, our detailed application gathers a great deal of personal and professional information from each of our candidates. Then, we meet each caregiver in our office twice - once for an initial interview, and again for our Mom's Best Friend training. We also complete reference checks, criminal background checks, and identity checks prior to sending caregivers out to families.

Our customized training begins with our philosophy of proactive service and our standards of exceptional care. It also provides suggestions and guidelines for exercise, meal preparation, transportation, security, laundering, home organization, and more.

When our caregivers are on an assignment, they are required to report their weekly tasks such as meals, activities, medication reminders, etc. using our weekly individual service plans. Further, our administrator supervises caregivers through continued education and training, client follow-up calls, and spot visits.
