Nannies
When you take a nanny job in Fort Worth with Mom’s Best Friend, you are more than a babysitter or child supervisor—you are a screened, highly experienced professional caregiver, trained in the most progressive aspects of child care. Our nannies know how to design and implement daily curriculum, monitor child’s development, plan entertaining games, arts and crafts projects, and activities to stimulate a child’s learning, imagination, and development. The focus of the nanny is on the children, with duties relating specifically to their care. A Mom’s Best Friend Fort Worth nanny is an experienced, loving caregiver that can be hired part-time or full-time by a private family to care for the family's children, either on a live-in or live-out basis. In addition to nanny experience, great nannies often begin as teachers, day care employees, child development majors, babysitters, camp counselors, church nursery workers, and/or lifeguards or swim instructors. Our nannies may also have a college education, child-development continuing education hours, and/or teaching experience. Fort Worth nannies typically make $12-$18/hour + benefits when placed through Mom’s Best Friend.

Nanny Managers
Some of our families look for a nanny to fulfill a wide range of household management duties above and beyond a nanny’s basic child care responsibilities. Fort Worth is a wonderful place to facilitate learning with a wide range of educational and cultural places. As a nanny manager, you will (along with nanny responsibilities noted above), transport children to these great places, pick up children from school, organize after-school activities, tutor, run errands, grocery shop, provide mature supervision and security while traveling, and/or pull together a basic evening meal following the family’s favorite recipes. Nanny managers are hired by a private family, either on a live-in or live-out basis, and often have a minimum of a bachelor's degree. The typical compensation for a Fort Worth nanny manager placed through Mom’s Best Friend is $13-$20+/hour + benefits.

Child Educators
A child educator is a dedicated instructor who prefers the learning experience that a private, in-home education offers over teaching a large class of students. As a child educator, your goal is for your charge to achieve academic success, in addition to the duties a nanny manager performs. Child educators are mature and nurturing, providing hands-on instruction for their charges through curriculum, special projects and practical learning experiences. You may facilitate field trips where the children will have one-on-one exposure to museums, art exhibits, science and math related excursions, and a variety of other applied learning experiences. Child educators have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree, teaching credential (and/or early childhood education specialty or related experience), and instructional experience. The typical compensation is $16-25+/hour + benefits.

Additional Sitter Assignments
- From time to time, families will request the extra level of support provided by a temporary nanny manager. These caregivers are compensated an additional $1/hour, and their duties may include helping around the house, errand running, grocery shopping, meal preparation, or a variety of other tasks.
- Many of our caregivers provide onsite childcare on a regular and substitute basis to churches, childcare centers, and community centers. These positions are compensated at $10/hour.
- When families are traveling to Fort Worth, our hotel sitters alleviate any fears that a parent may have when they leave their children with someone they do not know. You will provide fun, safe, worry-free sitter service for Fort Worth hotel guests. Caregivers should bring a bag of age-appropriate activities, and demonstrate fun and imagination in every job. The pay rate for hotel sitters is $10/hour for the first child and $1/hour for each additional child.
Our corporate backup sitters provide emergency childcare for many Fort Worth area employees when regular arrangements fall through (such as nanny illness, mild child illness, school holidays, or employee travel). Caregivers are often sent out with limited notice, so they are paid at the rate of $12/hour, and are eligible for additional financial incentives. - Mom’s Best Friend special event and wedding sitters work as a team to transform a plain room into a play center of puzzles, coloring books, arts and crafts, music and dance, jewelry making, painting, books, and more.

The Newborn Care Specialist is hired on a temporary basis to nurture and manage the care of the newborn.
