Caregivers hired part-time or full-time
by a private family to care for the family's
children, either on a live-in or live-out
basis. Nannies plan fun games, arts and crafts
projects, and other activities which stimulate
the child’s learning, imagination,
and development. The nanny’s focus
is on the children, including preparing their
meals, laundry, and other duties relating
specifically to care of the children. Their
background is a combination of education,
nanny and/or teaching experience, and continuing
education hours. MBF Nannies typically make
$10-$20/hour + benefits.

Nanny Managers
Caregivers hired by a private family to
care for the family's children, either on
a live-in or live-out basis. These are professional
caregivers who, along with Nanny responsibilities
(see above), can pick up the children from
school, organize after-school activities,
tutor, run errands, grocery shop, provide
mature supervision and security while traveling,
and pull together a basic evening meal following
the family’s favorite recipes. Training
and experience are required, and the caregivers
often have a minimum of a Bachelor’s
degree. The typical compensation for MBF
Nanny Managers is $12-$25+/hour + benefits.

Child Educator
These instructors prefer the learning experience that a private, in-home education offers over teaching a large class of students. Child Educators are mature and nurturing, and they provide hands-on instruction for their charges through curriculum, special projects and practical learning experiences. They are able to facilitate field trips where the children will have one-on-one exposure to museums, art exhibits, science and math related excursions, and a variety of other applied learning experiences. Child Educators have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree, teaching credential (and/or early childhood education specialty), and instructional experience. The typical compensation is $16-20+/hour + benefits.

Experienced caregivers who provide care
for children on an irregular, as-needed full
or part-time basis and whose duties are restricted
solely to childcare and any tasks related
to the care of the children. Temporary
Nannies are compensated $10.00/hour (up to 2 children; $1/hour for
each additional child).
Temporary Nanny Managers
These positions are much like our temporary
nannies, but are capable of providing, in
addition to childcare, help around the house,
errand running, grocery shopping, meal preparation,
etc. Temporary Nanny Manager rates
are $11.00/hour (up to 2 children; $1/hour for
each additional child). Pricing includes
agency fees.
Hotel Childcare (In-room)
Experienced temporary caregivers provide
care for children at the client’s place
of lodging. Nanny wages are
$10.00/hour (up to 2 children; $1/hour for
each additional child).
Offsite Childcare
Churches and childcare centers often request temporary nannies to provide
childcare both on a regular basis and as substitutes for their regular caregivers. Nanny wages are
$10.00/hour.
Corporate Childcare
When regular childcare arrangements break
down, these nannies save the day. Employers subsize the cost of childcare and most times these nannies are given short notice. Therefore their wages are
slightly higher than our regular temporary nannies at $12.00/hour. |

Night Nannies/Nurses
Night nannies/nurses are the saving grace
for working moms or mothers who have more
than one child. Many of our families attribute
their sanity to this great service. Newborn
specialists work 10 hour shifts, helping new
parents to achieve a restful night’s
sleep by getting up with the baby, feeding
or bringing the baby to the nursing mom, changing
the baby, rocking the baby, doing the baby’s
laundry and more. Nannies receive $130+ for the shift, depending on their experience.
Postpartum Caregivers
When our clients leave the hospital, they will require plenty of rest and relaxation. Postpartum caregivers are trained and experienced to care for mothers and their families in this time of need. They provide household help, advice in newborn care and feeding, emotional support, sibling care, meal preparation, and errand running. Postpartum caregivers receive $12/hour. |
