Working Together for the
Vail / Beaver Creek Community

(Which organizations do you help?)

Each time Mom’s Best Friend receives a new ($125) or renewing membership ($100) from our client families, we donate $25 to our partner charity. We have chosen these organization because they are consistent with our values as a company, and our target is the children and families within the local community.

We feel that it is essential to reach out past our own neighborhood and into the community. Through the power of working together, we will boost the welfare of the people and children in the Vail Valley.

Vail Valley Foundation Habitat for Humanity Eagle Lake Vail Valley Charitable Fund

Through athletics, culture and education, the Vail Valley Foundation has been enriching our community, the lives of our residents and those of our guests since 1981.

The Foundation is responsible for providing our community with some of its most treasured annual events, such as the Vail International Dance Festival, AEI World Forum, American Ski Classic, Birds of Prey World Cup Ski Races, Vail Snowboard Session, and our summer and winter free concert series.

While the community impact of these events and performances is phenomenal, we believe some of the most important work we do is in supporting literacy programs for our community’s youth and providing higher education scholarships for deserving graduates of our local high schools.

Through annual grants, the Foundation also supports other worthy educational non-profits in the Valley. Organizations such as the Youth Foundation, the Magic Book Bus, the Vail Symposium and others work with us to help further their missions, helping us to have an even greater impact throughout our community.

Habitat for Humanity International was founded 31 years ago. Our affiliate was started locally in 1995. Through the work of Habitat, thousands of low-income families have found new hope in the form of affordable housing. Churches, community groups and others have joined together to successfully tackle a significant social problem -- decent housing for all. Today, Habitat for Humanity has built more than 200,000 houses, sheltering more than 1,000,000 people in more than 3,000 communities worldwide.

Habitat for Humanity of Eagle & Lake Counties builds simple, decent homes in partnership with families in need. Since the affiliate opened its doors in 1995 it has been focused on creating low income housing opportunities for working families in Eagle & Lake Counties. Throughout its 12 year existence, Habitat for Humanity of Eagle & Lake Counties has completed 19 homes, housing nearly 60 children.

The Vail Valley Charitable Fund (VVCF) helps people who live and work in Eagle County who have overwhelming financial needs due to medical crisis. To date, the organization has assisted six hundred individuals and families in Eagle County, and has raised and dispersed more than $5 million dollars.

The Vail Valley Charitable Fund has two main functions:

  • On a monthly basis the Board of Directors reviews and awards direct aid grants to individuals that apply.
  • When a person's financial need is greater than a direct aid grant can address, VVCF can assist with a community fundraiser for their benefit.
