We are looking for a Full-Time Nanny excited to help us in caring for our 3- and 2-year-old kids during the workday. The kids are energetic, inquisitive, and love playing outdoors. Our youngest loves practical play, books, dolls, and swimming and our oldest is a big fan of sharks, boats, scuba diving, and learning about all the creatures of the sea. We are a screen-free family, so there are lots of opportunities to explore outside and discover all the wonders of nature. We also have family passes to the zoo, the arboretum, several museums, and a nearby pool, so there’s never a lack of entertaining and educational venues to visit throughout the week.
Our kids thoroughly enjoy arts and crafts—anything involving pipe cleaners, construction paper, and crayons is a sure-fire winner to keep them creating and learning at the same time. They’re also really into imaginative play and love to hear stories, play lots of make-believe, and love for others to read to them.
If you’re familiar with the Montessori learning method, that would be a huge bonus as we’re working towards growing reliable and respectful kids who are confident in their abilities to think through a challenge and problem solve like a champ!
Your day would begin a bit later than usual by picking up the kids from Montessori at 11:30 a.m. We ask that you handle the children’s laundry, meal prep, and tidying up, and have a ‘plan-ahead’ schedule of upcoming days and their respective activities. We would love someone that can take the kids to do fun activities during the day, mom might even join you sometimes.
But more than anything, we want our Nanny to fully engage with the kids, be intentional about educational play, and honor our existing schedule as much as possible. Our whole family is looking forward to forming a trusting relationship with you and all the adventures that await!
Zoom calls, conference calls, and all the other necessities of modern-day working from home—we know them all too well! Mom works part time and dad works full time from home, but we need someone to partner with us in caring for our kids when work responsibilities take priority over play-doh parties!
