Full-Time Nanny in Westlake

Busy professional couple in Westlake is seeking a Nanny to care for their new baby.
Duties will include:

• Caring for the child including feeding, changing, putting down for naps, etc.
• Engaging the child in age-appropriate activities that promote growth and development such as books, music, walks, play, arts/crafts, games, activities, etc.
• Transporting to and from activities such as parks, museums, play dates (excellent driving record required; car for use on the job with mileage reimbursement)
• Keeping the common areas and child’s areas tidy (load/unload dishwasher, wiping down counters, putting toys away, doing children’s laundry, etc.)
• Able to maintain a schedule, including evolving the schedule as needed

Nanny must be:

• Experienced (5+ years as a nanny), confident and capable in all areas of infant and baby care
• Local to the Austin (preferable central Austin) area
• Passionate about caring for children
• A self-starter who loves getting things done; when you see something not done (baby’s laundry), you take initiative to get to it during baby’s naps, etc.; you don’t wait to be asked or told what to do
• Efficient
• A problem solver
• Patient and kind
• Dependable and punctual
• Trustworthy
• Creative and engaging, encouraging curiosity and getting down on the floor to play
• Flexible – able to stay late on occasion and support family for additional weekend hours when scheduled
• Able to travel with the family

• Able to maintaining high degree of confidentiality and handling private information with utmost discretion
• Ability to handle a direct style of communication without over-sensitivity
• Experience working in private homes
• Current with TDAP vaccine

Both adults work from home, and a personal assistant and chef also work from the home.
