Press Release: Mom's Best Friend and First Class Care Merge
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Mom’s Best Friend and First Class Care Merge
Two Veteran Household Staffing Agencies Combine to Deliver Exceptional Long-Term Services and Expand Temporary On-Call Services in Greater Chicago
(Austin, TX) – December 15, 2015 – Mom’s Best Friend, the largest full-service household staffing agency in Texas, announced today that they will purchase First Class Care, the premier domestic placement agency serving the greater Chicago area. Drawing upon the experience and expertise of First Class Care owner Erin Krex and Mom’s Best Friend’s 21 years of experience with placing exceptional candidates in domestic positions, this partnership will bring First Class Care clients more services and a larger staff to support their domestic household needs.
Mom’s Best Friend will bring their expertise in temporary services to Chicago clients, serving the need for qualified, reliable emergency backup child care. Providing this opportunity to First Class Care caregivers and clients is first on the list of expanding the First Class Care offerings.
“We are excited to join forces with such a reputable agency,” said Kathy Dupuy, owner of Mom’s Best Friend. “First Class Care provides exceptional service to Chicago area clients. With our 21 years of experience placing candidates in Texas, we look forward to continuing to deliver the excellent client and candidate experience that First Class Care is known for with their long-term placements while also adding a new offering of temporary services in 2016.”
In addition to placing long-term nannies, housekeepers, and other domestic staff, Mom’s Best Friend schedules hundreds of temporary child care requests every week and has grown to over 1,400 employees in 2015. The motivation behind the merger with First Class Care is apparent as the trajectory for the temporary service offering is astounding; many companies are offering more workplace flexibility and backup child care as an employee benefit for working parents in order to attract and retain top talent. In 2015, the majority of the Working Mother 100 Best Companies offer backup child care. Along with this trend, the need for qualified long-term and temporary child care providers is also growing.
Both Mom’s Best Friend and First Class Care are recipients on the Association of Premier Nanny Agencies’ (APNA) prestigious “Agency of the Year” award, with MBF winning the award in 2012 and FCC in 2010. APNA member agencies adhere to the highest standards of practice in the industry for candidate screening, background checks and placement process. Both Mom’s Best Friend and First Class Care pride themselves on providing personalized service and taking the worry and stress out of the placement process by fully vetting candidates and approaching each position individually.
Mom’s Best Friend will assume operations on January 1, 2016, under the name “First Class Care by Mom’s Best Friend” and will maintain the office in Northbrook, IL. Clients of First Class Care by Mom’s Best Friend in Chicago will also have immediate access to services through the Mom’s Best Friend offices in Austin, Dallas/Fort Worth, Houston, San Antonio and Vail.
