Calm, positive Family Assistant needed for 3 months to assist mom with three children while current nanny is out on maternity leave. Nanny will be energetic and athletic, engaging the children in indoor and outdoor age-appropriate play and activities. Nanny will maintain a peaceful and centered tone, as family does not raise their voice, rather they employ positive encouragement and praise (no time out, no counting). Nanny will provide transportation for all three children to/from park, activities, classes, school, etc., so an excellent driving record is required (vehicle provided for on-the-job use). Primary household duties are to keep the kitchen clean including loading/unloading dishwasher, sweeping, wiping down counters, etc. As possible, nanny will also tidy and maintain common areas, take care of laundry, and complete organizational projects. The ideal candidate will be a proactive self-starter and an excellent communicator. If the position becomes long-term (could be a possibility if nanny does not return from maternity leave), family would like the nanny to accompany them in their travels (approximately 7-10 weeks per year over ~4 domestic trips – the longest being one month long in the summer).

Family in North Center is seeking a kind, caring and organized Nanny Manager to partner with Mom in providing proactive childcare and household support. The day will start by getting the 10-year old child ready for school (bathe, guide in dressing, help with breakfast, packing lunch and snack), and will typically end when she is picked up from school. Child has special needs, but is higher functioning and attends mainstream classes at the local public school (next door). She is verbal (some speech limitations), can read and do math, and while child doesn’t require special accommodations, the ideal candidate would have some knowledge or exposure to special needs care. During the day, the candidate will run errands (grocery shopping, pharmacy, etc.), make beds, sweep/Swiffer, do laundry, take out the trash, empty dishwasher, water plants, and help organize as needed (they have a deep cleaner every other week).
