Your baby is coming home, and you want help you can trust.
Let’s start with the obvious: yes, we’re called Mom’s Best Friend, and yes, we’re Dads’ Best Friend, too. Since 1994, we’ve matched Austin families with caregivers, including many whose path to parenthood came through surrogacy, adoption, or foster-to-adopt.
Those paths take a lot of planning, patience, and heart, and the timeline can shift without warning. A delivery date moves. A match comes together sooner than expected. Whatever happens, you’ll want the right help ready, and that’s where we come in.
Overnight Newborn Care and Nannies in Austin: Two Teams, Two Kinds of Help
- Overnight newborn caregivers in Austin: Our newborn care specialists and overnight newborn nannies take the night shift so you can rest. They feed, change, and soothe your baby, and they’re sleep training experts. Most have worked with our families before. (TIP: Newborn caregivers are often booked months in advance, so reach out as soon as you have a due date or a match. We can sometimes accommodate immediate requests, so try us even if time is short.)
- Austin daytime newborn nannies. When your leave ends or your baby grows, our Austin nannies step in. We present only the top 10%, and long-term placements include a 4-month replacement guarantee.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you work with two-dad families?
Yes. We match caregivers to each family’s needs, schedule, and parenting style, however your family was built.
Do we need overnight help if no one is recovering from birth?
Newborns wake around the clock, and an overnight caregiver means you can both sleep, which helps if you’re also juggling work and leave.
When should we start looking?
As soon as you have a due date, a match, or a placement. Earlier is better, but tell us your timeline even if it’s tight.
What if our timeline changes?
Delivery dates and placements can shift. Tell us as soon as you know, and we’ll talk through your options.
What’s the difference between a newborn care specialist and a night nanny?
The titles overlap, and you may also hear “baby nurse.” The main difference is level of experience. Our staff can provide you with more information about the two options.
Can our overnight caregiver become our nanny later?
They’re separate teams, so you’d begin a new search. The search fee for overnight care includes a 10% discount on a long-term nanny placement.
