Family in southwest Austin (Circle C) is seeking a caring, responsible nanny for their two children. Nanny will pick up older child at elementary school, then pick up younger child from daycare, and transport them to the home. Nanny will fix the children a snack, and engage the children in age-appropriate indoor and outdoor activities that promote their growth and development, and assist with reading/activity page. Occasionally, transportation to/from activities will be required. Nanny will prepare dinner for the children (menu for the week will be provided), and read to the children while they have their dinner. Nanny is expected to keep common areas where children play and do activities to be clean and tidy (this can include vaccumming, cleaning up dishes, loading the dishwasher, for example). Caregiver will give the kids a bath, and prepare them for bedtime (parents will be home after children are bathed).

Duties will include event planning (majority), household inventory management, social calendar management, attending to VIP guests (7 houses on the property), and non-profit (conservation-focused) foundation assistance. PA will need to stay on top of reservations (theater, concerts, other bookings), shop as directed, coordinate vendors (plumber, electrician, etc.), and manage maintenance schedule with various companies for large estate. There are two dogs and five cats on the property, so the candidate should be very comfortable around animals (ideally an animal lover), as a pet sitting may need may occur several times per year.
In regards to events, candidate will need to be confident and capable of designing and conceptualizing creative ideas (in collaboration with employer and second assistant), for a variety of entertainment including parties, talks/symposiums, etc. They will also need to execute from beginning to end – from making preparations, to working with catering staff, to managing the event on site. This will require a proactive, tech savvy, efficient, deadline-driven project manager, and resourceful problem solver. Nanny Manager will also prepare dinner for the children, and occasionally for the whole family. There are 2 kind and well mannered children in the home as well. The ideal candidate will be able to prepare breakfast for children and pack their lunches for the day and ensure coffee is ready for the adults as well, accomplish housekeeping duties, laundry and ensure dinner meat is thawed and any necessary fruits and vegetables are prepared as well. The ideal candidate would be bilingual in Spanish (speaking to the children in Spanish is desired), prompt, polite, tidy, diligent and ready to partner with a great family who values a formal atmosphere. The parents in the home both work full time from home. This is a great role for a dynamic candidate!
