We’re a modern family doing our best to raise super kind and caring kids. That means we’re sharing parenting responsibilities with Dad’s former partner and we’re expecting our own little one in the next few weeks. To say we’re in transition is a huge understatement! That’s why we’re looking for a Full-Time Nanny that adapts well to a schedule that’s a little bit unpredictable at least in the beginning.
We are trying to be proactive in making arrangements for our daughter (who is here part-time) and the arrival of a newborn AND mom’s return to school in January 2023. Add to this that dad is a professional athlete with an in-and-out-of-town schedule from July through February, and we’re the first to admit, there are lots of moving parts and lots of varying responsibilities. (That’s in addition to two large breed dogs and a cat!) Still, we’re committed to creating a thriving and loving home for everyone including our new nanny. We are looking for an experienced, organized, and multitasking nanny to help us meet everyone’s needs with kindness, patience, and amazing communication skills. We want you to be an extension of our family, know you’re valued, and looked upon as an integral part in raising our kids for the long term.
My husband’s daughter will need to be picked up from and dropped off at her mother’s house a couple of times during the week as well as on the first, third, and fifth Saturdays of the month. There will also probably be the need for the occasional overnight stay as well.
Both mom and dad will be home as much as possible and ask that you allow them to handle discipline whenever they’re available. Dad’s schedule is somewhat predictable as an NFL player (which will understandably require your signature on an NDA) and Mom’s will hopefully have some regularity once we’re past the first few months of adjusting to a newborn and she begins the spring semester of college classes in January 2023. This is where your flexibility and adaptability will be priceless. Work with us through all the initial adjustments and we promise to fall into as much of a dependable routine as our schedules allow.
The bottom line is this—there’s no housework involved, just the need for a superstar nanny to primarily care for our newborn and provide part-time care for our precious 3-year-old who is only with us part of each week. We’re confident all the other details can be worked out once we get to know and trust one another well. The most important to us is finding a kind and caring nanny who will partner with us to teach and train our kids and help them become all-star little people.
