Find Houston Family Assistants
Managing a busy household takes serious coordination. Mom’s Best Friend connects local families with reliable Houston Family Assistant professionals who keep your home running like clockwork. Our candidates help with everything from daily errands to scheduling to home organization. These roles are often combined with some childcare (often school-age children), but may be heavier on household assistance (sometimes referred to as Family Managers or Household Managers). No matter what title fits your needs best, we find top local talent tailored to your daily needs.

Reduce your Mental Load
A Houston Family Assistant bridges the gap between childcare and home management. They focus on resetting your home, task management, organizing, meal prep, running errands, and keeping your day-to-day on track. Many of our professionals come from private childcare positions with a household component, and their skills expand into heavier household management. Every Houston Family Assistant we represent completes a rigorous vetting process and explicitly reviews your custom job description before meeting your family.
What Can a Houston Family Assistant Do For You?
We customize every search around your priorities. Here are some of the ways a Houston Family Assistant supports your home. Note: Family Assistants focus on home management and light tidying. They do not do heavy cleaning like scrubbing bathrooms or mopping baseboards, nor do they handle outdoor maintenance or yard work.

Our Screening Process
The Houston Family Assistants we place are experienced, highly adaptable private-service professionals who have incorporated household management into their daily childcare routines. Because of this, candidate profiles may highlight caregiving experience, but every individual we present has been thoroughly vetted, holds outstanding references, and has explicitly reviewed and agreed to the full scope of your job description. We find that candidates are best evaluated in 1–2 trial days to give you a clear, hands-on look at how a candidate operates inside your home. All candidates complete our intensive screening process.
