Calm, positive Family Assistant needed for 8 – 12 weeks to assist mom with three children while current nanny is out on maternity leave. Nanny will be energetic and athletic, engaging the children in indoor and outdoor age-appropriate play and activities. Nanny will maintain a peaceful and centered tone, as family does not raise their voice, rather they employ positive encouragement and praise (no time out, no counting). A maid comes every 2 weeks for a deep clean, so this position only requires maintenance.

The family has 1 dog, 4 outdoor/garage cats and small livestock such as goats (4). Daily tasks surround all essential management duties such as vendor communication, light cooking, organization, household errands, feeding of livestock (early AM and PM) and any other assigned household tasks. The ideal candidate would be active, tech savvy (able to manage virtual calendars,shared lists, etc), experienced, organized, a self-starter, able to set their own schedule, trustworthy, an animal/nature lover and also have the ability to source and manage outside contractors and household vendors. The primary position (roughly 80%) will be cooking-related duties such as grocery shopping, meal planning (client has recipes but welcomes new options), keeping pantry and refrigerator organized, stocked and clean, cooking, and serving. The employer is not requiring a trained chef, but candidates should be experienced and enjoy cooking. When the employers are entertaining, employee will cook for the guests as well. Daily tasks include maintaining a clean kitchen by wiping down counters, doing dishes / emptying dishwasher, etc., as well as closing shutters, turning down beds, assisting with the laundry (family employs several other full-time housekeepers / laundress as well). Candidate will be proactive and detail-oriented.
